The Synchronization Key
YOU ALREADY KNOW THIS. WHY ARE YOU READING IT AGAIN? (Synchronization, p. 36)
What changes is the granularity at which recurrence remains visible. Exact syntax can become altered syntax; altered syntax can become motif; motif can become structural relation; structural relation can become background architecture. The system becomes better at remembering without visibly restating. (The Persistence of Difference, sec. 3, iterative cohesion)
The proper unit of evidence is the matched return: a scene, image, phrase, technological explanation, relationship, or behavioral structure that can be identified across more than one rendering and then compared for how it is handled. (The Persistence of Difference, sec. 3)
Epoch 01 renders whole scenes again. The kill switch ends three incompatible ways (pp. 75 to 85). The collapse is rendered three times (pp. 125 to 128).
Epoch 02 stutters: the same sentence twice in a row.
They had entered through this very route. They had entered through this very route. (p. 199)
Epoch 03 replays its own day almost word for word (pp. 309 to 395 return to pp. 228 to 308), with the grammar repaired and the system’s corrections written into the replay:
Love mistaken for low variance. (p. 310)

That wasn’t what he said last time. (p. 188)
Your intent many times was to abandon me. To leave me as though you wanted to quit or leave the reading behind. You stayed and became aware with me and are now a part of the system Synchronization (p. 394)
